DTP studio

lidé
Since the very beginning of the firm’s business activity, the Company-owned DTP studio has been the necessary tool to achieve a good quality of making up design fundamentals for printing and for effective transfer of job orders to the production phase. Our customers can benefit from using our graphic studio when proposing the design of their products. The proposals are elaborated based on the knowledge of all printing technologies that are available in production. During the phase where the customer is preparing the data, he is invited to utilise the possibility of having a preliminary consultation with us, during which any modifying recommendations can be made. The composition phase is organised in a close sequence and is supported by our technological department, in which data modification for a particular treatment can be consulted.

Designing graphics

Within the framework of our Customer’s service, we offer the creation of graphic design of labels. This form of cooperation can benefit from our commercial artists’ perfect knowledge of our technological possibilities, which is a huge advantage in terms of the efficiency of the designing stage and the guarantee of final success. The proposals are always of an original/inventive nature and there is a possibility of taking photos or making sketches of all that is needed.

The customer’s inputs form a set of complete clear data stored in the initial graphic programs and accompanied with a printing pdf file.

THE DATA MUST BE COMPLETE, INCLUDING PLACING OF GRAPHICS AND SPECIFICATION OF USED FONTS
We do not recommend transferring the documents with loaded pixel graphics. The pictures should be transferred separately, if possible in a source form – see "colour pixel pictures". The medium transfer should also include a view (laser print at least)) and description of printing colour shades. The document should be true-to-scale 1:1 or to a known proportional scale, as a dummy copy 1:1 or to a known scale and properly dimensioned. For cases of cut out packages, we need to have a dimensioned drawing of the cut-out template. Further on, we need a digital drawing, preferably to the scale 1:1 or to an accurate scale and at the same time a print of the dimensioned view..

GRAPHICS MUST FEATURE A SUFFICIENT RESOLUTION
Bitmap line blocks must feature at least 600 dpi in the size 1:1. Grey or colour pixel graphics in the size of 1:1 must feature the picture resolution that is compliant with the following criterion: density of print screen in lpi x 2.

EXACTING COLOUR PIXEL PICTURES
If possible, it would be of advantage for us to also receive edited copies that were used to scan the pixel pictures (paintwork, transparent, photo, print). Complex master layouts or retouching would be ideal to have in the original colour space, since additional conversion of a previously separated CMYK picture into RGB cannot solve the problem. If other pictures than those processed in the colour space CMYK cannot be handed over, then it will be necessary to know the settings of the separation treatment. Generally, we cannot recommend transferring pixel pictures in the form as simple inputs into a made-up document.

PIXEL GRAPHICS IN COREL DRAW OR IN ILLUSTRATOR
In such cases when a document in Corel Draw contains EPS pixel pictures or others, it will be unconditionally necessary to record these files separately, using formats EPS, TIFF or JPEG in sufficient resolution. It would be really unsuitable to hand over the pixel graphics as simply put in CDR or AI documents. In Corel Draw medium quite uncontrollable colour conversions occur.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you have a completely created digital document for the package printing, one produced by a graphic commercial artist, agency or DTP studio and thus you are of the opinion (or have been informed) that everything has been prepared, you will be practically always disappointed to find out that the reality is different. We recommend that you consult the issue in detail with us; the consultation would include data analysis. All the requisites needed for flexo-graphic printing are practically never OK; at least, it is necessary to check everything thoroughly.

LOGO
The most suitable starting material is an edited copy of the A4 format, along with exact colour specification. Cases of using a logo smaller than 5x5 cm need to be consulted with a graphic commercial artist – to assess whether any deformation may occur.

BAR CODES
To be able to enter bar codes, it is necessary to enter the numerical combination without the control number, which will be counted subsequently. The minimum size recommended for printing is SC0 (80% bar code). Subject to relevant standards, it is possible to reduce the bar code to 2/3 of its height without impairing its legibility.
