Foodstuffs

Proper packaging of foodstuffs, while using attractive packaging materials, is nowadays nearly a marketing must, the prerequisite for successful sales. The label has not only the function of an information carrier (providing all mandatory data and the product identification), but also has an advertising function, promoting the selling of the product.

Bakery products: bábovky (special Czech marble cake), vánočky (a longish Christmas cake), cakes & pies, but nowadays also even loaves of bread and a whole assortment of bread products – all these products are sold in packages and identified by pertinent labels.

Meat products bear labels varying in appearance and sophistication from simple, single-coloured labels to multi-colour ones, featuring sophisticated graphics applied on metallic, self-adhesive substrates.

Delicatessen and pastry products are packaged mostly in firm, transparent packages that provide a sufficiently large area for placing labels. The latter have in some cases also the function of securing the package closure.

Of the many products from foodstuff sphere it would be pertinent to mention dairy products, packaged dried fruits, coffee and tea, and French bread.
