Automotive industry, electro-technical industry, machinery industry – all these branches utilise labels to identify both semi-finished and finished products. The label design and play of colours are not in these cases the preferred parameters. Mostly they are technical stickers that must meet pertinent standards (the requirements are mainly of material stability/endurance, specification of colour appearance and surface treatment). The labels must be produced exactly in compliance with specifications of technical drawings. Reflecting the diversity of the industries themselves, new materials and paints are under development. In a number of cases the newly developed labels are use-tested; they are applied on product specimens and tested ahead of their “field” application.
