Materials and colours

Selection of a proper material, glue and printing paints will ensure both the right use of labels as applied to the product and attaining the best design effect. It is important to know from the very beginning the package type the product is intended for, in which manner it is to be applied and the surroundings it will be stored in. For cases of non-standard applications we recommend, in cooperation with our suppliers, the specific suitable material and paints to be applied.
Materials
Paper materials are glazed or matt types, reflective, metallised, imitations of hand-made paper, etc.
Plastic materials are based on polyethylene, polypropylene and other materials, mostly in both transparent and white versions. Additional treatment can provide a matt, glossy or metallic surface finish.
The portfolio of materials of choice can then offer special options, properties of which can comply with the specified requirements.
We will be pleased to recommend – in cooperation with our suppliers – a suitable type of material for production of labels.
Paints and lacquers
The basic colour scale is specified by the PANTONE colour card. The applied printing technology has a great impact on the resulting colour appearance. In addition to standard paints some special paints can be used, like reflective and matt ones, covering paints that can be scratched off and thermo-chromic paints.
The basic lacquer property providing surface protection and highlighting the actual printing. The lacquer can also be applied partially, to highlight the details. Lacquers with a pleasant smell, metallic effects, bubble or relief-type lacquers are also available.
